The College Board’s Advanced Placement (AP) program offers college-level courses and exams to high school students. The exams are designed to test students’ knowledge and skills in a particular subject and are scored on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being the highest score. A score of 3 or higher is generally considered passing and may qualify a student for college credit or advanced placement at the college or university they choose to attend.
